HOW WE STARTED with GLASS - A brief History
DESIGNING A CHILD-SAFE GLASS STUDIO
Since 2015, we have developed and modified glass materials to be child safe. Children wear protective gear and safeguards are in place to ensure provide a safe-environment for children to work with glass.
With just 2 years of teaching glass, we can say that children can't get enough of glass work! They are captivated by the glassy and shiny nature of glass, and create the most imaginative and creative expressions.
PIONEERS IN FUSED GLASS ART PEDAGOGY
Through the collaboration with the National Arts Council in 2015, via the Artist-in-school Scheme, we have developed a series age-appropriate fused Glass Art Programme endorsed by the National Arts Council and suited for preschoolers.
Click here to read about the pilot programme. Each year, ECDA will identify up to 10 new pre-schools for the AISS. Interested pre-schools can contact NAC (preschool_aep@nac.gov.sg) or ECDA to indicate their interest to be considered for the AISS.
