Teaching Creative Skills with Glass

July 10, 2017

The way we teach Art affects how our students become and remain interested in Art.

In this article, Marvin Bartel explains how he develops a creative and engaged learner. He does not show examples of works but showed pupils how to clean, cut, layer and stack glass.

The pupils explored and experimented and accredited their discoveries to their own effort.

Letting pupils create without undue restrictions develops an engaged and autonomous pupil, who takes ownership of his 'discoveries'.

Don't we wish we some sense of empowerment in our art lessons in the past?
